Gate valve

A “food grade” gate valve is an inexpensive, important part of processing. It should be cut into your honey settling tank. All detritus in honey is lighter than the honey itself therefore this gate valve affixed to the bottom of the settling tank can be opened after 24 hours of settling, letting out pure clean honey for bottling.

    1. Thanks for your question. You don’t need a machine at all to make very clean honey if you have fairly small quantities of honey. A clean sieve cloth and bucket will do (or many of these). If you have large quantities to process the type of equipment depends on the type of honey you have. The honey could be in frames, comb honey in buckets or already semi-processed. Your situation will dictate the equipment.
